What Is PET or RPET And PET/RPET Recycled Materials

PET plastic is the abbreviation of Polyethylene terephthalate, PET or RPET. Poly Terephthalic acid based plastics, including Polyethylene terephthalate and polybutylene terephthalate. Polyethylene terephthalate also known as polyester resin. It is a polycondensation of terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol, collectively known as thermoplastic polyester, or saturated polyester, with PBT.

In fact, we often see PET in our daily life, such as we buy mineral water bottles, to pack large items with packing tape, agricultural plastic film, etc. , are or are related to PET.

PET/RPET not only can be used in plastic bottles and packing belts, but also can be used as fiber due to its excellent thermoplastic properties. Common recycled PET/PETP recycled materials are:

1. Polyester bottles

Transparent beverage bottles, green beverage bottles, blue beverage bottles, edible oil bottles, milk-white bottles, other colored bottles and recycled bottles.

2. Foam and friction materials

The material source is recovered raw filament, regenerated filament and staple fiber, fabric corner material, film material and powder material.

 3. Polyester blocks

Material source is polyester polymerization of the size block material, spinning size block material, such as raw pulp block and regeneration of pulp block.

 4. Packing tape

The material source mostly belongs to the regeneration packing belt, the intrinsic quality is lower than the bottle piece.
