Pigment blue 9, Acid Brilliant Blue FCF, is blue-purple powder. Easily soluble in water, the solubility in water (90℃) is 50g/L, the aqueous solution is greenish blue, almost colorless after adding sodium hydroxide, accompanied by dark purple precipitation. Soluble in ethanol. It is orange in concentrated sulfuric acid and pale yellow after dilution. Sensitive to copper and iron ions when dyeing, affecting shade.
